The Featured Content Addon is one my favorite addons for Soliloquy. Why? Because it makes featured content sliders an absolute breeze. I’ve taken all of the hard pieces about creating a featured content slider out of the equation and left you with an interface that makes everything a piece of cake.
Don’t get me wrong – the Featured Content Addon is extremely powerful. You can make simple queries to your recent posts or even advanced queries with multiple taxonomies. Here are some of the features:
– Ability to query just one or multiple post types at once
– Ability to query just one or multiple taxonomies at once
– Specify specific posts to include or even exclude in your slider
– Order the slides by date, menu order or any other order option you get with WP_Query
– You choose how you want to display the content – just an image, an image and an excerpt, a linked image with a title and excerpt – the sky is the limit.!
